A special sports and environmental event will take place on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, with the road race "Running to Trapezaki... for Trapezaki", organized by the Evkosmia Cultural Association and the Regional Unit of Kefalonia.
The race, covering a distance of 2 kilometers, will start at 19:00, while participant registration will take place at 18:30 at the starting point.
The race will begin in Vlachata, at the intersection with the Venetian road, and will finish at Trapezaki Hill, at the site of Panagia Trapezofora. The route combines exercise with the area's unique natural landscape, offering participants a beautiful experience in nature.
With the central slogan "Run for nature, the neighborhood, our homeland!", the event aims to raise awareness among both young and old about the value of protecting the natural environment, the local community, and active participation in initiatives that promote volunteerism and sport.
The organizers invite all residents and visitors of Kefalonia to take part in this celebration of athletics, enjoying a beautiful route while also supporting an important cause for the Trapezaki area.
